Strawberry Field Salad

  • Yield: 6 Cups

Ingredients

For salad you will need:
4 ½ cups spring or mixed greens
1 cup strawberries, cut in half
½ cup blueberries
¼ cup pecan halves (optional)

For dressing you will need:
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add spring greens to a large bowl.
  2. Add strawberries, blueberries and pecans (if using).
  3. In a small bowl or jar with lid, add vinegar and oil. Whisk or shake to combine dressing.
  4. Drizzle dressing over salad just before serving.

Notes

Use what you have at home. Instead of strawberries and blueberries, try apple or orange slices. Fresh veggies could also be used. Try tomatoes and cucumbers or carrots and onions. Use a dressing you have on hand or make other dressings. Just remember to use 1 part vinegar to 3 parts oil. Add your favorite herbs or spices for more flavor.
